Uljin County to Begin First Phase Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon Distribution on July 21

Up to 450,000 Won Per Person
Boosting Local Consumption and Supporting Small Business Recovery

Starting on July 21, Uljin County in North Gyeongsang Province will officially launch the 'First Phase Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon' program to promote local consumption and help small business owners and self-employed individuals recover their sales.

The recipients of the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon are all residents of Uljin County as of June 18. The amount provided ranges from 200,000 won to 450,000 won per person.


Uljin County will provide an additional 50,000 won per person for residents in rural areas with declining populations. As a result, general residents will receive 200,000 won, those in the lower-income bracket and single-parent families will receive 350,000 won, and basic livelihood security recipients will receive 450,000 won.


Residents who wish to receive advance notifications regarding eligibility, application methods, and other details about the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon can request the National Secretary Notification Service. Advance notifications can be requested through 17 mobile apps, including Naver App, KakaoTalk, and Toss, as well as the National Secretary website. Starting July 21, information can also be checked via card company websites, apps, call centers, ARS, and the Uljin Sarang Card app (and Geurigo app).


Applicants can choose their preferred payment method?credit/debit card or local gift certificate (Uljin Sarang Card)?through both online and offline applications. Adults (born on or before December 31, 2006) must apply individually for the national support fund, while minors can have their applications submitted by the head of their household as listed in the resident registration.


Online applications are available from July 21 to September 12. Those wishing to apply with a credit or debit card can do so via card company websites, apps, call centers, or ARS, while those preferring to use a local gift certificate (Uljin Sarang Card) can apply through the Uljin Sarang Card app (and Geurigo app).


Offline applications are also available from July 21 to September 12. For those applying with the Uljin Sarang Card, applications can be submitted at the local town or township office. For credit or debit card applications, applicants should visit a bank branch affiliated with their card company.


During the first week of both online and offline applications and eligibility checks, an 'application day system' will be implemented based on the last digit of the applicant's year of birth to ensure a smooth process.


The application day system is as follows: (Monday) 1, 6; (Tuesday) 2, 7; (Wednesday) 3, 8; (Thursday) 4, 9; (Friday) 5, 0; (Saturday, Sunday) all (except for offline applications on Saturday and Sunday).


The support funds, regardless of whether they are issued as credit/debit cards or local gift certificates, can be used at affiliated merchants of the local gift certificate (Uljin Sarang Card) within the region. The usage period is until November 30, 2025.


County Governor Son Byeongbok stated, "We hope that the distribution of the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon in Uljin County will help revitalize consumption and expand sales for self-employed individuals, thereby aiding the recovery of the local economy. We will continue to prioritize the stability of residents' lives and consistently pursue practical, community-focused policies."
