Comprehensive Strategies for Youth Settlement Discussed, Including Recruitment Fair and Customized Training

Nonsan City in South Chungcheong Province has launched a full-scale initiative to create jobs for local youth and support their settlement in the region.

The city announced on the 21st that it held a "Special Committee on Priority Recruitment of Local Talent" on the 18th, where various policies to expand youth employment and nurture local talent were discussed.

The meeting was attended by more than 20 participants, including representatives from Nonsan City, local businesses, schools, related organizations, and experts. They shared a range of strategies to invigorate recruitment, including the operational direction of the Special Committee on Priority Recruitment of Local Talent, gathering opinions on the draft plan for the 2025 Nonsan City Recruitment Fair, talent capacity-building education, and support projects for employment stability and workforce supply.

Choi Yongung, Vice Chair of the Nonsan City Labor-Management-Civic-Government Council, stated, "Through this committee, we are once again recognizing the importance of recruiting local talent, and I hope this will serve as an opportunity to establish practical job creation policies."

A city official said, "We will create a structure in which companies naturally hire local talent through customized development programs and policy support," adding, "We will proactively address the issues of youth outflow and population decline."

The city plans to strengthen its cooperation system with local institutions and businesses to build a virtuous cycle system that connects talent development, employment, and settlement in the region.
