This agreement is a measure to quickly provide delivery and courier fee subsidies to small business owners, and will be promoted in cooperation with Post Office Shopping, Gmarket, Goodsflo, 11st, ShoppingNT, and LotteON. SEMS will receive information on small business owners using delivery and courier services from these companies, verify the eligibility of the recipients, and then provide the delivery subsidies.
In response to the increased management burden on small business owners due to rising delivery and courier fees, SEMS is implementing a support program this year with a budget of 203.7 billion won, providing up to 300,000 won in delivery and courier fee subsidies to small business owners with annual sales of 300 million won or less.
After signing business agreements with O2O platform companies and delivery agencies in February and June, SEMS will now collaborate with a total of 18 companies?including open markets?such as Baemin, Yogiyo, Coupang Eats, Saenggakdaero, and Barogo, through this latest agreement. Open market and logistics platform companies will provide information on small business owners using courier services, and SEMS will verify eligibility, such as whether the applicant meets the sales criteria or has closed their business. Qualified small business owners will be able to receive up to 300,000 won in subsidies quickly, without the need for additional supporting documents.
Applications for the program can be submitted through the official websites of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Small Enterprise and Market Service. Park Sunghyo, Chairman of SEMS, stated, "Through this agreement, small business owners using open markets and logistics platforms can conveniently apply and receive payments quickly without submitting separate supporting documents. We hope for your active interest and participation."
