Complete Vehicle Traffic Ban on Jamsu Bridge in Seoul as Paldang Dam Releases 7,000 Tons per Second

Due to heavy rainfall in the central region, the water level of the Han River has risen rapidly, leading to a complete closure of vehicle traffic on Jamsu Bridge in Seoul.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government completely blocked access to Jamsu Bridge starting at 10:40 a.m. on July 20, 2025. Currently, more than 7,000 tons of water per second are being released from Paldang Dam.

An official from the city's Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters stated, "We have closed Jamsu Bridge to traffic for the safety of citizens, as the water level of the Han River has risen due to increased discharge from Paldang Dam." The official also urged citizens to check traffic conditions before going out and to use public transportation as much as possible.
