"This Time, the Government's Response Won't Work"
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, has resumed his public criticism of U.S. President Donald Trump, using the controversy surrounding files related to Jeffrey Epstein as a focal point.

According to ABC News and other U.S. media outlets on the 18th (local time), Musk has posted a series of messages on his X account (formerly Twitter) since the 16th, criticizing President Trump and the government's handling of the "Epstein files." Over the course of four days, Musk either wrote or shared more than 35 related posts.
Musk strongly objected to the U.S. Department of Justice's announcement that there was no "client list" for Epstein, the billionaire who died in prison in 2019 after being arrested for sex crimes, calling it a "blatant cover-up." He also claimed, "Many powerful people do not want that list to be made public."
He mocked the Trump administration's response strategy, saying, "1. Admit nothing, 2. Deny everything, 3. Make counter-accusations," and added, "This time, it won't work."
Musk shared a photo titled "Epstein Files: Stage 1" and taunted, "Where is Stage 2?" He also posted a screenshot showing that Grok, Tesla's AI chatbot, responded that the government possesses passenger lists and flight records for Epstein's private jet.
Musk, who once provided massive donations to President Trump and acted as a close ally, began distancing himself after the Trump administration's tax cut bill. Recently, he even posted suggestive messages implying Trump's involvement in the Epstein case, but later apologized, admitting he had "gone too far."
However, after the Trump administration pushed ahead with the tax cut plan, Musk turned away again. As dissatisfaction spread even among MAGA (Make America Great Again) supporters, it is analyzed that Musk has resumed his attacks on Trump, using the Epstein case as a catalyst.
