Secures 373 out of 619 Votes (60.26%)
Lee Sangmin, chairman of the Daejeon Metropolitan Chapter of the People Power Party, has been re-elected in the chapter's leadership election.
The People Power Party's Daejeon Chapter announced that on July 17, it conducted a mobile vote among 619 delegates and elected Lee as the chapter chairman.
He received 373 votes out of a total of 619, accounting for 60.26% of the total.
His competitors, Park Kyungho (head of the Daedeok District Party Association) received 102 votes (27.3%), and Han Hyuntaek (former Dong-gu District Mayor) received 34 votes (9.11%).
Chairman Lee expressed his determination, stating, "I will focus on expanding the organization and strengthening its capabilities, and will devote myself to innovation."
Lee, who has served five terms as a National Assembly member, left the Democratic Party of Korea and joined the People Power Party last year, after which he was elected as the Daejeon Chapter chairman in the same year.
