Seonghun Cheon, a member of Daejeon Hana Citizen in the K League 1, who had been under police investigation on suspicion of sexual harassment, has been cleared of all charges, with the case closed without indictment.
On July 19, Cheon's legal representative, attorney Son Suho from the law firm Jihyeok, stated, "All sexual crime allegations against Seonghun Cheon have been dismissed with a 'no charges' decision. It has been confirmed that all accusations raised by the other party, including rape, indecent assault, and illegal filming, were found to be untrue."
Attorney Son added, "I sincerely apologize to football fans for causing concern and ask for your patience until the case is completely finalized."
Previously, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul had received a complaint alleging that Cheon committed indecent assault and sexual assault at a hotel in Gangnam-gu in September of last year and had been conducting an investigation.
