On July 18, the Busan Regional Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (headed by Jeong Jongdeuk) conducted a heat illness prevention campaign and outreach health management service at the CJ Logistics Busan Nam SUB Terminal, targeting logistics center and courier workers in preparation for the midsummer heatwave.

The agency displayed banners outlining the five basic safety rules for heatwave protection and distributed heat illness prevention guides and supplies (such as cooling sleeves) to prevent heat-related safety accidents among logistics center and courier workers, to promote a culture of safety, and to inform workers about the importance of using cooling equipment.
In addition, through the Busan Workers’ Health Center, the agency provided outreach health management services such as health consultations and simple medical tests to prevent heat illness, checking on the current health status of workers.
Jeong Jongdeuk, head of the Busan Regional Headquarters, stated, “Heat illness can certainly lead to fatal accidents, so it is important to strictly adhere to the five basic safety rules for heatwaves during the midsummer period.” He added, “The Busan Regional Headquarters will continue to make efforts to prevent heat-related accidents through ongoing safety culture campaigns.”
