Improving Living Conditions for About 50 Veterans' Families

The Daegu Regional Veterans Office under the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs has begun providing support to improve the living conditions of veterans' families living in poor housing environments.
The Daegu Regional Veterans Office, led by Director Kim Jongsul, recently held a launch ceremony for the 'Moduga Ansimdream' project and has officially started the initiative. This project is sponsored by Korea Real Estate Board and carried out by the Daegu Metropolitan Self-Sufficiency Center.

This project aims to improve the residential environment for approximately 50 households of national merit recipients and their bereaved families in the region. It provides support such as replacing LED lights, installing new insect screens, upgrading bathroom fixtures, and offering professional cleaning services.
The first beneficiary is Mr. Lee, a 93-year-old Korean War veteran, who received new lighting and improvements to his home's sanitary conditions. Mr. Lee stated, "The space that was once uncomfortable is now bright and pleasant. I believe this will be a great help in my daily life."
Son Taerak, President of the Korea Real Estate Board, said, "We will continue our welfare support projects as an expression of gratitude for the dedication of veterans' families."
Kim Jongsul, Director of the Daegu Regional Veterans Office, emphasized, "We will strengthen practical support that veterans' families can truly feel in their daily lives," and added, "We will realize 'Veterans Affairs for All' through collaboration with local public institutions."
