The Sharing Class is a social contribution initiative that has been running since 2022 to help single mothers achieve economic independence. The program provides network opportunities that connect single mothers who have completed vocational training or obtained certifications with companies and local communities, enabling them to generate income.
At the most recent Sharing Class, held on July 10, an instructor discovered through the single mother self-reliance support program led a diffuser-making class for 60 employees at the Shinhan Investment Corp. Customer Support Center. According to the company, this initiative supports the instructor’s economic independence and offers participating employees a meaningful social contribution experience, fostering shared value and growth between the company and the local community.
The Sharing Class, organized by the Eastern Social Welfare Society and sponsored by Shinhan Investment Corp., has so far discovered a total of 22 single mother instructors. The cumulative number of classes held has reached 41, with 657 participants. A Shinhan Investment Corp. representative stated, "We will continue to practice our corporate social responsibility and strive for mutual growth with marginalized neighbors through long-term and practical support."
