Aju Group Sells AI Subsidiary "Cognitnine" to Newberry Global

Maintaining a Strategic Partnership

On July 17, Aju Group announced that it will sell its artificial intelligence (AI) subsidiary, Cognitnine, to Newberry Global and pursue a transition to a strategic partnership.

Cognitnine is the first AI managed service provider (AI MSP) in Korea, specializing in supporting the entire process of AI adoption optimized for each company's business requirements. In 2017, Aju Group acquired the IT company MTCom and changed its name to Cognitnine in 2021.

Aju Group has expanded its customer base, primarily in the financial industry, and gradually built trust through Cognitnine. However, due to the rapid changes in the generative AI technology market, the company determined that collaboration with an external partner possessing expertise and infrastructure is necessary to further accelerate and stabilize Cognitnine's growth.

Accordingly, Aju Group plans to sell its stake in Cognitnine to Newberry Global and participate as a strategic shareholder in Newberry Global, thereby maintaining an ongoing cooperative relationship with Cognitnine.

Newberry Global is the holding company of Bespin Global, which has demonstrated technological capabilities and growth potential in the domestic and global cloud MSP markets. Through this transition, the technological synergy with Cognitnine's AI capabilities is expected to be further strengthened.
