Gangseo-gu to Hold "University Admissions Briefing Session and Consulting" for Early Admissions Preparation

Gangseo-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jin Kyohun) announced on July 17 that it will hold a "University Admissions Briefing Session" and "One-on-One Customized College Admissions Consulting" to help students prepare for the 2026 academic year's early admissions.

This event is designed to help students preparing for university entrance exams develop effective admissions strategies. The "University Admissions Briefing Session" will be held on July 23 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Ari Hall on the 2nd floor of Gangseo Atrium. Jeong Jewon, a leading EBS admissions instructor, will give a lecture on the 2026 early admissions system and the main universities' early admissions procedures.


The event is open to 200 participants, including students residing in Gangseo-gu, high school students attending schools in Gangseo-gu, and their parents. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis through the Gangseo-gu Office integrated reservation (events/culture) website until 6:00 p.m. on July 22.


The "One-on-One Customized College Admissions Consulting" will take place from August 10 to 12 at the auditorium on the 7th floor of the Gomdallae Culture and Welfare Center, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day for three days. The consulting sessions will be conducted by current teachers from the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education's University Admissions Guidance Support Group, who will provide personalized admissions strategies based on each student's mock exam scores and school records.


The program is open to a total of 108 participants, including third-year high school students, repeat test-takers, and their parents. Applicants must either reside in Gangseo-gu or attend a high school located in Gangseo-gu. Registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 10:00 a.m. on July 29 through the Gangseo-gu Office integrated reservation (events/culture) website. Each day, there will be six 40-minute consulting sessions, and each student may participate only once.


District Mayor Jin Kyohun stated, "With the recent significant changes in the admissions system, it is more important than ever to establish strategies based on accurate information," adding, "I hope this briefing session and consulting will provide practical help to students and parents."
