Discussion on Busan's Current Issues and Development Strategies

This event, where the heads of Busan's government, industry, academia, and research institutions discuss local issues and seek development strategies, has been held monthly since May under the subtitle 'White Shirt Brown Bag Meeting'.
On this day, the heads of institutions from Busan Metropolitan City, research institutes, the financial sector, and businesses discussed and exchanged ideas on various topics, including the relocation of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries to Busan, industrial development in the maritime and fisheries sectors, the opening of Arctic sea routes, as well as industry-academia cooperation, healthcare, finance, and startups.
The 13 participants included President Bae Sanghoon; Sung Heeyeop, Chief Policy Advisor of Busan Metropolitan City; Lee Kangbok, Director of Education Reform Support; Seo Jongwoo, Chief Planning Advisor; Kim Jongdeok, President of Korea Fisheries Resources Agency; Bae Jeongcheol, President of Korea Research Institute of Ship and Ocean Engineering; Kim Minsu, CEO of Gijangmulsan; Kim Hyunggyun, President of Busan Technopark; Lee Hannyung, Director of the Busan Branch of the Bank of Korea; Seo Jonggun, President of Busan Technology Startup Investment Institute; Yang Jaewook, President of Busan Paik Hospital; Kang Daeun, Secretary General of the Global City Tourism Promotion Organization; and Jung Yongchae, CEO of SlashBSlash.
President Bae Sanghoon said, "As various discussions for Busan's new future, including the relocation of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, are underway, let us create an opportunity for various stakeholders in the region to work together and cooperate for the development of Busan."
