Three Types of Nuruk, Triple the Glutinous Rice
Additive-Free Premium Raw Makgeolli
Jipyeong announced on July 16 that it is launching a new premium raw Makgeolli, 'Jipyeong Takju'.
'Jipyeong Takju' is a premium raw Makgeolli made using domestically grown glutinous rice (39.6% content) cultivated in the pristine region of Soyang River in Chuncheon, delivering a rich flavor and aroma. The generous amount of glutinous rice creates a distinctive umami, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and a smooth texture. The alcohol content is 12%.
This additive-free raw Makgeolli contains only rice, nuruk, and water, with no other additives, allowing consumers to fully experience the original aroma and taste of the ingredients. In particular, the fermentation method combines traditional nuruk, modern nuruk, and measured nuruk, resulting in a multidimensional flavor profile that blends a subtle sweetness, refreshing acidity, and deep nuruk aroma. The packaging features a luxurious design inspired by Jipyeong blue and rice grains.
'Jipyeong Takju' will be released in a single 750ml size and will be gradually made available through major supermarkets and online stores nationwide.
A representative from Jipyeong stated, "Based on our 100-year brewing philosophy, we have poured dedication into every element?nuruk, rice, water, and design?to craft this premium raw Makgeolli," adding, "We will continue to lead the premium Makgeolli market and take the initiative in elevating the quality of Makgeolli and the value of Korean traditional liquor."
