Paju City to Significantly Improve Bus Arrival Information Accuracy at GTX Unjeongjungang Station

On July 15, Paju City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it would install a location tracking system (GPS) antenna at the Unjeongjungang Station Bus Transfer Center to improve the accuracy of bus arrival information and enhance signal reception.

The Unjeongjungang Station Bus Transfer Center is located underground, which has made it difficult for the location tracking system terminals installed on buses to receive signals smoothly. As a result, the accuracy of information about arriving buses has been low, and this has led to ongoing inconvenience for citizens.

To address this issue, the city plans to install a dedicated location tracking system antenna within the bus transfer center to ensure stable signal reception. This measure is expected to enable the provision of more accurate real-time bus arrival information.

The enhancement work is scheduled to be completed within July. After the installation, citizens are expected to be able to access more reliable bus arrival information through the Bus Information Terminal (BIT).

Kim Kyoungil, Mayor of Paju, stated, "This measure will significantly improve the convenience of using public transportation," adding, "We will continue to work on enhancing the quality of transportation services in ways that citizens can truly experience."
