Chairman Seungil Jeon of Gwangju Seo-gu Receives Plaque of Appreciation from Balsan Gateball Club Members in Yang 3-dong

Contribution to Improving Residents' Health and Leisure Activities

Chairman Seungil Jeon of the Gwangju Seo-gu Council announced on July 15 that he recently received a plaque of appreciation from the members of the Balsan Gateball Club in Yang 3-dong. He was recognized for his contributions to improving the health and leisure activities of local residents.

Chairman Jeon has consistently been recognized for his belief that "the starting point of legislative activity should always be the lives of the residents." He has earned praise for personally addressing both major and minor civil complaints in the community and for implementing practical solutions.

This plaque of appreciation is especially meaningful because it was made possible not simply by supporting facility improvements, but by engaging in sincere legislative activities that have deeply permeated the daily lives of local residents.

Chairman Jeon stated, "The value that a local council should always pursue is 'resident-centeredness,' and legislative activities that breathe with the residents are the driving force for changing the community." He added, "I will continue to listen to the places where help is truly needed, no matter how small, and work together with residents to create a changing Seo-gu."

Meanwhile, Chairman Jeon has continued his communication efforts by visiting the sites of local issues, guided by the philosophy that "the answer is on the ground." He has steadily proposed and supported various policies, including promoting community sports, addressing welfare blind spots, and revitalizing the local alley economy.

In April, he was also awarded a plaque of appreciation by the Yangdong Industrial Goods Market Merchants Association in recognition of his contributions to the opening of the Customer Support Center, revitalizing the local alley economy, and supporting the merchants' association. The Yangdong Industrial Goods Customer Support Center is a meaningful achievement, realized through ongoing communication between merchants and the administration, and was a project personally initiated by Chairman Jeon as part of his campaign pledges.

Chairman Jeon also emphasized, "Even small changes can bring great vitality to the community," and stated, "I will continue to carry out practical, field-oriented legislative activities."
