Jin Suyeong Wins Top Scorer Award at Two Consecutive Tournaments
The Hamyang County Sports Council announced on July 15 that the Hamyang FC-U18 team, representing Hamyang County, finished as runners-up in the final round of the 2025 Gyeongnam Region High School League held in Gyeongnam Province, and has earned a spot to participate as the Gyeongnam representative in the National Championship Tournament.
Led by Coach Kim Seongbae, the Hamyang FC-U18 team fought fiercely until the very end, recording 8 wins, 2 draws, and 2 losses for a total of 26 points. They finished as runners-up, falling short of the championship by just 2 points to the Masan Technical High School team.
In particular, player Jin Suyeong, who previously won the top scorer award when the Hamyang FC-U17 team finished third at the 30th National Muhakgi High School Football Tournament held in Tongyeong, also claimed both the runner-up title and the top scorer award in this high school league, securing the top scorer title in two consecutive tournaments.

This tournament, hosted by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Korea Football Association, and organized by the Gyeongnam Football Association, featured 13 high school teams from the Gyeongnam region competing in a full league format. The top three teams by points qualify for the National Championship Tournament to be held in August.
County Governor Jin Byeongyeong stated, "I sincerely congratulate the Hamyang FC U-18 squad, the blue heart of Hamyang, for their runner-up finish in the Gyeongnam Region High School League and their advancement to the championship tournament," adding, "In just seven months since its founding, the sweat and effort of this team has become a source of pride for all of Hamyang County."
He continued, "I am truly proud of the players who are now standing confidently on the national stage, beyond the borders of Gyeongnam. I hope that, carrying the honor of 'Hamyang, the home of football,' they will once again face the upcoming championship tournament with courage and determination."
