National Hanbat University announced on July 15 that it ranked fourth globally in the Infrastructure and Technology category of the recently released '2025 WURI World University Rankings for Innovation.'
The WURI World University Rankings for Innovation is a global university ranking system that evaluates universities based on innovation, practicality, and social impact, moving away from traditional research-focused assessments. This year, 1,253 universities from 87 countries participated in the evaluation.
In the rankings, National Hanbat University achieved fourth place in the Infrastructure and Technology category and 51st overall (up from 64th last year), marking its inclusion in the 'Global Top 100 Innovative Universities' for the fifth consecutive year since 2021. This accomplishment reflects the university's ongoing efforts and achievements in innovation, which have been recognized on the global stage.
In particular, the university also ranked 12th in Student Mobility and Openness and 46th in Technology Development and Application, making it into the TOP 50 in these categories as well as in Infrastructure and Technology.
President Oh Yongjun stated, "Through this year's WURI evaluation, National Hanbat University has gained global recognition for its consistently implemented innovation strategies centered on practical education. Moving forward, our university will continue to focus on expanding experience-based education, strengthening community ties through industry-academia collaboration, and broadening our global education model to foster talented individuals equipped with practical skills and creativity."
Meanwhile, among domestic universities, Incheon National University (9th), Seoul National University (19th), and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (22nd) were also ranked within the top 100 of this year's WURI World University Rankings for Innovation.
