University Students, High School Students, and Student Athletes
Application Documents Accepted Until July 31
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters (Director: Lee Sangwook) will select the "2025 Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters Scholarship Students" to foster talent in the areas surrounding the power plant, and will accept application documents from July 23 to July 31.
The scholarship will be awarded to a total of 264 students, including 210 university students, 40 high school students, and 14 student athletes. Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters plans to provide scholarships worth approximately 360 million KRW to these recipients.
To be eligible, university students or their parents must have resided for a certain period in Jangan-eup or Ilgwang-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan, and must meet specified academic criteria. High school students must either be enrolled in a high school located in Jangan-eup or Ilgwang-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan, or be residents of these areas and belong to a vulnerable group such as recipients of basic livelihood security.
Student athletes will not be selected directly by Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters, but will be recommended and selected through the Gijang-gun Sports Council.
To apply for the scholarship, applicants must bring the required documents specified in the announcement and visit the application desk in person at the Gori Sports and Culture Center (Haemaji-ro, Jangan-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan). Detailed information regarding the application process, future schedule, and other matters can be found on the websites of Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters or Gijang-gun Office.
Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters is conducting scholarship selection, field-specific education based on students' talents and aptitudes, and mentoring through its regional educational scholarship program, and is making efforts to promote mutual cooperation with the local community.
