Applications Accepted at Local Administrative Welfare Centers Until July 21
Changwon Special City in South Gyeongsang Province is recruiting 47 households for the 2025 LH Existing Housing Jeonse Rental Program in cooperation with Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) until July 21, in order to support housing stability for low-income residents.
The existing housing jeonse rental program is a housing support system in which selected applicants find a jeonse (long-term deposit lease) home themselves, and LH signs the jeonse contract with the homeowner and then subleases the property to the tenant. This system is designed to help vulnerable groups maintain stable housing within their current living areas.
Eligible applicants for this recruitment, as of the announcement date (June 30, 2025), must be members of a homeless household with resident registration in Changwon Special City. First-priority applicants include: recipients of basic livelihood or medical benefits; single-parent families under government protection; households in urgent need of housing support (those among benefit recipients or the near-poor whose rent exceeds 30% of income); persons with disabilities (those whose household monthly income is at or below 70% of the previous year's average urban worker household income and who meet the asset criteria for permanent rental housing); and elderly households (benefit recipients or the near-poor aged 65 or older).
The maximum support amount is 70 million won per household, and the rental period is two years. If eligibility requirements continue to be met, the contract can be renewed every two years, up to 14 times, allowing for a maximum residency of 30 years. The announcement of successful applicants will be made individually by Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) after November.
Applications can be submitted at the local Eup, Myeon, or Dong Administrative Welfare Centers corresponding to the applicant's resident registration address until July 21. For further details, please refer to the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) Cheongyak Plus website or the city’s official website.
Lee Jaekwang, Director of Urban Policy, stated, "By continuously promoting a variety of housing welfare programs in cooperation with LH, we will strive to create a stable housing environment for low-income residents."
