Operation of 'Anytime Childcare Service'
Available on weekends, public holidays, and at night
Osan City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it is currently operating the 'Anytime (Emergency) Childcare Service' to address gaps in home-based childcare.
This service is an emergency childcare system available when parents are unable to care for their children due to sudden schedule changes or working late hours. It operates not only on weekdays but also on weekends, public holidays, and at night.
The service is currently provided at 11 childcare institutions in the Osan area. It is available from 7:00 a.m. to midnight, and can be used by elementary school children aged 6 to 12. The usage fee is 4,000 won per hour, and prior child registration is required for smooth access. Applications for the service can be made through the 'Gyeonggi-do Anytime Childcare' website.
Park Hyunju, head of the Osan City Child Welfare Division, stated, "We will continue to work on establishing a comprehensive childcare system to make Osan a better city for raising children," and added, "We will also keep improving the quality of our services by reflecting the voices of our citizens."
