On August 10, the "Heunhannammae Science Expedition Reading Competition & Signing Event" will be held at the Kyobo Building in Gwanghwamun, Seoul, in collaboration with the popular children's YouTube channel "Heunhannammae." The event will feature a reading quiz competition designed to stimulate children's scientific thinking and curiosity, as well as a meet-and-greet with the authors.

On August 15, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Liberation Day, the "2nd Big Star Teacher Choi Taesung Children's Reading Competition & Signing Event" will be held at the same location with author Choi Taesung. Under the theme "Modern and Contemporary History Now: What We Must Know," this event is designed to encourage children to ask historical questions, seek answers, and reflect on the meaning of reading. The signing event will be open to the first 60 customers who purchase a book on the day of the event.

At the Kyobo Bookstore Busan branch, a unique "Late Night Bookstore Concert" will transform the bookstore into a private concert venue at 10 p.m. on July 11 and 25, and August 8 and 22, for a total of four sessions. Under the theme "Pages and Melodies of a Summer Night," the concert will weave together books such as "Stoner" and "The Great Gatsby" with classical music in a storytelling format. Refreshments and goods will be provided, and participation is available through paid advance reservations.

Until August 31, the "Summer Book-Pairing" event will be held in collaboration with Twitter influencer "Jeonsijungbogyonghaedeurim" and the Art/Pop Culture MD team. The event will recommend books in the fields of art and pop culture that pair well with major ongoing exhibitions such as "From Monet to Warhol" and "National Treasure Touring Exhibition," and invites customers to share their own "Exhibition-Book Pairings." Customers who purchase more than 30,000 KRW worth of books in the relevant fields will receive a special gift.

A Kyobo Bookstore representative stated, "We hope that readers will forget the summer heat and become closer to books through a summer filled with a blend of culture from various fields, including books, music, art, science, and history."
