The organizing committee aimed to expand this year’s event beyond a simple exhibition, transforming it into a mobility governance platform that brings together policy, technology, industry, education, and civil society. In his opening remarks, Chairman Kim Daehwan stated, "The expo, which began 15 years ago with just 20 electric vehicles, has now grown into a global business networking platform. I hope that Korea and Jeju will become examples of leading the global transition as an export base for e-mobility."
Oh Younghoon, Governor of Jeju Province, said, "With the nation’s highest electric vehicle adoption rate and a foundation for 100% renewable energy transition, Jeju is emerging as a leader in eco-friendly mobility. We will continue to expand domestic and international cooperation to build a green energy ecosystem."
Na Seonghwa, Director-General at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, remarked, "For the first time, the share of eco-friendly vehicles in domestic sales has surpassed that of internal combustion engine vehicles, and exports are also reaching record highs. The government will actively support the transformation of the industrial ecosystem through investment in research and development and expansion of infrastructure."
