The "Rural Medical Visit Bus" is a project that delivers comprehensive healthcare services?including medical and dental checkups, exercise prescriptions and education, vision tests, and the provision of reading glasses?to residents of rural areas where medical facilities such as hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies are scarce.

The event, held on July 11, was attended by Haman County Governor Cho Geunje, Gyeongnam Nonghyup Executive Director Jung Youngchul, Nonghyup Haman County Branch Manager Shin Haekeun, and Daesan Nonghyup Cooperative President Song Byungwoo. Medical staff from Haetsalmaru provided traditional Korean medicine volunteer services, the Yonsei University Sports Rehabilitation Institute Physio team offered musculoskeletal disorder management, and Bom Optician provided vision tests and reading glasses services.

In particular, this Rural Medical Visit Bus event included activities to prepare for summer heatwaves, such as informing residents about heatwave safety guidelines and emergency response methods for heat-related illnesses, as well as providing herbal supplements for the summer, to help rural residents prevent heat-related illnesses.

Song Byungwoo, President of Daesan Nonghyup Cooperative, said, "I hope the Rural Medical Visit Bus has been of real help to rural areas where medical institutions are lacking," adding, "We will continue to carry out various welfare activities so that local farmers can enjoy a healthy old age."

Jung Youngchul, Executive Director of Gyeongnam Nonghyup, stated, "I am grateful for the efforts of the medical staff and volunteers," and added, "We will continue to address healthcare blind spots by providing practical support to improve the health and quality of life of local residents."
