"Discounts on Public Facilities for Blood Donors"... Ulju County Offers Up to 50% Off for Frequent Donors

Ulju County in Ulsan is offering discounts on public facility usage fees to strengthen recognition for local blood donors and to promote a culture of blood donation.

In particular, for the first time in Ulsan, Ulju County will issue a 'Discount Certificate' to frequent blood donors, granting them even greater benefits.

On July 11, Ulju County announced, "This program, which has been in effect since July 3, provides a 30% discount on public facility usage fees for one year to any resident of Ulju County who has donated blood at least once."

Additionally, frequent blood donors who have donated blood 15 times or more within the past three years can receive a 'Frequent Blood Donor Discount Certificate' from the Ulju County Public Health Center starting July 14. Upon presenting this certificate, they will receive a 50% discount on usage fees. The certificate is valid for three years from the date of issuance.

To receive the discount, donors must present either a blood donation certificate or a blood donation confirmation document that includes their address, along with their ID, at the relevant facility. For frequent blood donors, the required documents are: an application for the discount, a resident registration certificate issued within the past month, a blood donation confirmation, and a personal information consent form. These documents must be submitted in person to the Pharmaceutical Management Team at the Public Health Center to receive the certificate.

The discount applies to a total of 15 facilities. These include Ulju County sports facilities, the Culture and Arts Center, Onyang Culture and Welfare Center, Seouluju Culture Center, Ungchon Culture and Welfare Center, Youth Training Center, Yeongnam Alps Complex Welcome Center, Marine Leisure Sports Center, Oegosan Onggi Village, General Social Welfare Center, childcare facilities, Startup and Job Support Center, Taehwagang Ecological Center, and public parking lots. All eligible facilities are those directly established and managed by the county.

A county official stated, "We have established this discount program as a small gesture of gratitude for those who practice life-saving blood donation," and added, "We will continue to promote voluntary blood donation and strengthen recognition for blood donors in the future."

For more information about the discount program, please contact the Pharmaceutical Management Team at the Ulju County Public Health Center.
