Special Exhibition
"A Long Wait, Leaving the Storage"
The Cultural Heritage Administration and the Korean University Museum Association will hold a special joint exhibition of universities in the Yeongnam region, titled "A Long Wait, Leaving the Storage," at the Yeungnam University Museum starting from July 11, 2025. The exhibition will showcase 233 artifacts from 117 collections, representing the storerooms of 10 universities in the Yeongnam region, including a gilt-bronze crown excavated from Tomb No. 34 in Hwango-dong, Gyeongju, and a cylindrical vessel stand discovered at the Okjeon Tumuli in Hapcheon.
The exhibition is organized into four sections: "A Long Wait, Illuminating History," "Excavating History," "Creating Stories," and "Documenting Excavations." It is designed to allow visitors to observe the excavation processes of key artifacts.
In particular, every Thursday, the artifact organization and restoration work site will be open to the public, allowing visitors to directly witness the artifact restoration process. The exhibition runs until October 24, 2025.
