"Regrettable That Opportunities to Request Normalization of the Korea Communications Commission Have Been Lost"
Lee Jinsuk, Chairperson of the Korea Communications Commission, expressed her regret on the 9th regarding her exclusion from attending future Cabinet meetings. At the same time, she indicated that she would not comply with the ruling party's calls for her resignation.
Speaking to reporters that afternoon, Lee commented on the decision to exclude her from Cabinet meetings, saying, "It is true that I personally feel disappointed because the Cabinet meeting is a venue where issues concerning state affairs are discussed and important agenda items are decided." She added, "If I had more opportunities to attend, I would have made several more requests to President Lee Jaemyung to normalize the Korea Communications Commission, but I regret that such opportunities have now been taken away."

Regarding the resignation demands raised by the ruling party, she stated, "According to current law, my term lasts until August 24 next year," and added, "As long as my term remains, I will do my utmost to ensure that the Korea Communications Commission faithfully carries out its duties."
In response to the Board of Audit and Inspection's action the previous day, which issued a warning for her past remarks on YouTube and reminded her not to violate the duty of political neutrality, Lee explained, "These incidents essentially occurred during the previous administration," and continued, "I appeared on several YouTube channels in a desperate situation, having been impeached just two days after my appointment."
She further added, "Even though the results have come out now, I never imagined that this would become the reason for my exclusion from the Cabinet meetings."
Regarding the police investigation on July 5 into allegations that she misused a corporate credit card for personal purposes during her tenure as president of Daejeon MBC, Lee stated, "I do not believe it is a politically motivated investigation," and added, "I am confident that the investigation will conclude with a finding of no charges."
