According to the report, the Ministry of Labor ordered the suspension of outdoor labor and food delivery services from noon to 5 p.m. on that day. This measure mainly applies to central Greece and several island regions. Authorities also advised employers to allow workers to choose remote work if possible.

However, no separate emergency measures have been implemented in the capital, Athens. The current heatwave is expected to continue until July 10.

Greek authorities stated that they are taking long-term measures to address the effects of climate change, including deploying the largest-ever number of firefighters this summer.
