In the men's weekly world golf rankings announced on the 6th (local time), he earned 1.9887 points, jumping two spots from 64th last week. He accumulated points by finishing tied for 11th at the John Deere Classic (total prize money of $8.4 million) on the PGA Tour, which concluded at TPC Deere Run (par 71) in Silvis, Illinois, USA, on the same day. If he had reduced just one more stroke, he could have tied for 5th place, which would have been his best result of the season. His best finishes this season are tied for 8th at the RBC Heritage in April and the PGA Championship, a major tournament, in May.

Scottie Scheffler (USA), Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas, and Collin Morikawa (all USA) maintained their positions in the 'Top 5.' Among Korean players, Im Sungjae is ranked 25th, An Byeonghun is 47th, and Kim Joohyung is 61st. John Deere Classic winner Brian Campbell (USA) jumped 60 spots to 55th.
