Full Operation of Free Shuttle Buses
In anticipation of the "2025 Sangju World Mother and Child Festival," which will be held for three days from September 26 to 28 at the Taepyeongseongdae Gyeongsang Gamyeong Park area in Sangju City, Gyeongbuk, the city has announced a comprehensive plan to improve transportation convenience for citizens and tourists.
Sangju City, Gyeongbuk, will operate free shuttle buses for the 2025 Sangju World Mother and Child Festival.
The festival organizing committee announced on the 7th that, to ensure smooth viewing and alleviate traffic congestion, nine 45-seater shuttle buses will be operated free of charge on three circular routes.
The shuttle buses will run daily from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. throughout the festival period, allowing convenient transportation from major local hubs to the festival venue.
The routes for each line are as follows: ▲Route 1: Citizen Sports Complex → Festival Venue → Heonsin General Industrial Complex ▲Route 2: Myeongji 3rd Apartment → Bus Terminal → Cheonnyeonnamu Apartment → Festival Venue ▲Route 3: Kyungpook National University Sangju Campus → City Hall Samgeori Intersection → Sangju Girls' High School → Festival Venue.
In particular, the city will designate the Citizen Sports Complex and Heonsin General Industrial Complex as exclusive parking lots for large bus users, and will also open the City Hall and Public Health Center parking lots, as well as four general parking lots near the festival venue.
An official from Sangju City stated, "Significant traffic congestion is expected around the festival venue during the event period," and urged, "We ask citizens and visitors to refrain from using private vehicles and to make active use of the free shuttle buses."
Meanwhile, the "Sangju World Mother and Child Festival" is the only festival in the world themed around hats, and has established itself as a venue for cultural convergence that transcends the boundaries of tradition and modernity, as well as local and global cultures.
Sangju City plans to further strengthen its position as a global cultural city encompassing both domestic and international tourists through this festival.
