Seodaemun District in Seoul is operating the "Visiting District Mayor's On-site Civil Service Office" to strengthen communication with residents and gather opinions on local issues as it marks the third anniversary of the 8th popularly elected administration. From July 7 to July 17, the program will take place in all 14 neighborhoods, including reports on current projects, resident meetings, and visits to key sites.

The district mayor will personally preside over the meetings and continue efforts to communicate by visiting major sites in each neighborhood?such as youth activity centers, merchants' associations, community centers, senior welfare facilities, and the Inwangsan Trail?to hear firsthand from residents of various age groups.
As the first activity of this on-site civil service office, on the morning of July 7, a household in Hong Eun 1-dong?home to the oldest resident in Seodaemun District?was visited to check on their well-being and inspect the safety of residential facilities during the summer.
Seongheon Lee, Mayor of Seodaemun District, stated, "This will be a meaningful opportunity to hear residents' suggestions for district administration directly," adding, "We will continue to practice communication-oriented governance by finding answers in the field."
