On July 7, the Chungnam Provincial Office of Education held a "Countermeasure Meeting to Strengthen Summer Food Poisoning Prevention and Management" for hygiene officers from education support offices in the province, in order to ensure thorough prevention of food poisoning during the summer season.
This meeting was organized in response to the continued occurrence of suspected food poisoning cases in schools, with the aim of strengthening hygiene management for school meals during the summer and establishing a rapid initial response system in the event of suspected cases.
During the meeting, participants discussed: ▲ sharing reports and the current status of suspected food poisoning cases by each education support office ▲ progress reports on preventive consultation and advisory efforts by the Chungnam Provincial Office of Education ▲ measures to strengthen the prevention and management system ▲ plans for hygiene inspections before and after the summer vacation, and ways to expand the "on-site hygiene consultation and advisory" program.
Through this meeting, the provincial office plans to ensure that schools providing meals in the 14 cities and counties of the province strictly adhere to hygiene guidelines, and that a rapid initial response can be carried out through close cooperation between education support offices and related organizations whenever abnormal signs are detected.
Superintendent Kim Ji-cheol stated, "During the hot summer season, food poisoning is a risk that can occur at any time, making close cooperation between city and county education support offices and schools more important than ever." He added, "We will continue to support hygiene management for school meals and do our utmost to create a safe educational environment."
