Korea Energy Engineering University (KENTECH) announced on July 4 that, for the first time since its establishment, it will be dispatching an overseas volunteer group to carry out technical and cultural volunteer activities.

This overseas volunteer group, consisting of 16 enrolled students divided into four teams, held a launching ceremony on the same day and pledged their commitment to successful volunteer activities. The volunteers will participate in the "World Friends Korea (WFK) IT Volunteer Group" in Can Tho, Vietnam, for three weeks from July 5 to July 26, putting global sharing into practice.

The volunteers plan to offer a variety of programs for local Vietnamese university and high school students, including AI education, IT education, and Korean culture (such as K-POP, Korean language classes, and traditional games).

This dispatch of the volunteer group is expected to contribute to bridging the digital divide between countries. KENTECH plans to continue sending volunteer groups abroad every summer vacation as part of its ongoing global social contribution efforts.

Park Jin-ho, Acting President, stated, "I hope that our students, who possess excellent skills, will use this volunteer activity as an opportunity to further develop their character," adding, "We look forward to their continued contributions to the international community."
