Ansan City Recruiting Participants for 'Mobile Drone Experience Program'

This program is designed to provide citizens with opportunities to experience drone technology and to help youth explore potential career paths.

During the August school vacation period, the program will offer sessions where parents and children can operate and experience drones together. The curriculum includes an introduction to future career fields, drone flight simulation, and drone soccer, all aimed at enhancing understanding of drone technology and providing a platform for family communication.

The program is divided into two categories: youth education (for students in grades 3 to 6 of elementary school) and family education (teams of two, including at least one elementary school student in grades 3 to 6). The youth program will be held three times, while the family program will be held seven times, with 20 participants accepted per session.

Participation is completely free of charge. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through the Ansan City Integrated Reservation System website starting July 7. For more information, inquiries can be made to the Sangnok Youth Center.

From September to November, during the school term, the program will be offered at eight schools that apply for the drone experience. As part of the science and creative experiential activities in the school curriculum, participants will learn about the principles of drones, receive safety education, and have hands-on piloting experiences.

Hong Seokhyo, Director of Urban Housing at Ansan City, stated, "We believe this program will increase youth interest and enthusiasm for future technologies," adding, "We will continue to foster creative talent capable of leading the drone industry through a variety of educational programs."
