Sales to Police and Fire Stations Up Fivefold
Steady Increase in Orders from Senior Centers
Bodyfriend announced on July 4 that its B2G (Business-to-Government) performance in the first half of this year increased by 22.3% compared to the previous year.
Bodyfriend has recently been expanding the distribution of its massage chairs beyond B2B to include B2G. In the first half of this year, the breakdown of sales by supplier was evenly distributed among public institutions (38%), senior centers (32%), and police and fire stations (30%).
In particular, sales to police and fire stations have shown steady growth for three consecutive years since 2022. In the first half of this year, sales in this segment were more than five times higher than in the previous year, setting a new record. According to Bodyfriend, this achievement was made possible by effectively targeting the latent demand among police officers and firefighters, whose opportunities for rest are limited due to heavy workloads, as well as by the superior quality of its products.
Orders from senior centers are also increasing. Bodyfriend succeeded in winning large orders in various competitive bids held in the first half of the year, and last month signed a contract to supply 74 massage chairs to senior centers in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul. In addition, the company has seen continuous year-on-year growth for two consecutive years since 2023 in its deliveries to various public institutions such as local city halls and public corporations.
A Bodyfriend representative stated, "As Bodyfriend's healthcare robots, which are becoming the new normal in massage lifestyles, rapidly expand not only in private sectors such as homes and businesses but also in the public sector, the 'normalization of healthcare through massage' is being realized." The representative added, "We will continue to leverage our product quality and brand competitiveness to achieve even more meaningful results in the B2G sector, so that Bodyfriend healthcare robots can be experienced wherever healing is needed."
