Mayor Shin Sangjin Appoints Conductor Geum Nanse as Honorary Artistic Director of Seongnam Mulbit Garden Music Hall

On July 3, Seongnam Mayor Shin Sangjin appointed conductor Geum Nanse, the artistic director of the Seongnam Philharmonic Orchestra, as the honorary artistic director of the Seongnam Mulbit Garden Music Hall during a ceremony at the city hall office.

During the appointment ceremony, classical guitarist Ji Ikhwan performed an arrangement of "All of Me" as a surprise event to celebrate both the new beginning of the music hall and the appointment of conductor Geum Nanse.

Mayor Shin Sangjin stated, "With conductor Geum Nanse's extensive experience and expertise, I expect the Seongnam Mulbit Garden Music Hall will be able to offer citizens an even higher level of culture and the arts. I am committed to building a true global city where culture and the arts coexist with advanced industries in Seongnam."

Conductor Geum Nanse responded, "I will do my best to ensure that music naturally becomes a part of citizens' daily lives and to help Seongnam fully establish itself as a true cultural city."

Meanwhile, Seongnam City plans to hold "Geum Nanse's Midsummer Night Concert" at 6 p.m. on July 5 at the outdoor stage along the Dumulgil promenade at Seongnam Mulbit Garden (195 Gumi-dong, Bundang-gu).
