Relocation of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, Ban on Leaflets to North Korea, and Securing Emergency Welfare Budget Confirmed as Fast-Track Tasks
Cho Seungrae, spokesperson for the National Policy Planning Committee, which serves as the transition team for the new government, announced on July 3 that the committee has prepared a draft of the "Five-Year National Policy Plan."
In a written briefing on the same day, Cho stated, "A draft of the Five-Year National Policy Plan has been prepared and will be submitted to the Operations Committee," adding, "Now that the blueprint has been drawn, we plan to compile and review proposals for securing financial resources for each division's national policy tasks."
However, Cho explained that the specific details of the five-year plan draft will not be disclosed until they are finalized.
In addition, the National Policy Planning Committee has confirmed three items as fast-track tasks: the relocation of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, the prohibition of sending leaflets to North Korea, and securing emergency welfare support funds for low-income groups.
Cho stated, "A total of 54 items have currently been proposed as fast-track tasks," explaining, "We will select fast-track tasks after checking whether further review is needed and whether they are suitable for policy implementation through national policy tasks."
