A total investment of 201.4 billion KRW to establish six production lines
Factory to be completed in January 2027, all products to supply the Chinese domestic market
Upon completion, total Buldak production will increase to 3.52 billion units
Samyang Foods has begun establishing its first overseas production base in China.

On the 3rd, Samyang Foods announced that it held a groundbreaking ceremony for the 'Samyang Foods (Zhejiang) Jiaxing Factory' on Majabang Road, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, China. Samyang Foods will invest a total of 201.4 billion KRW in the construction of the Jiaxing Factory. The factory will be built on a site area of 55,043 square meters, with a total floor area of 58,378 square meters, consisting of three above-ground floors and will house six production lines in total.
Samyang Foods will introduce a quality management system at the Jiaxing Factory based on international standards. In particular, the company plans to strictly comply with the standards set by China's Food Safety Law and establish a transparent and systematic quality management system covering the entire process from raw materials to shipment. To achieve this, Samyang Foods will sequentially acquire international certifications such as the Food Safety System Certification (FCCS22000) recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), the Food Safety Management System (ISO 22000), and the international standard for environmental management systems (ISO 14001). Through these efforts, the company aims to continuously enhance quality in terms of food safety, environmental management, and employee health.
Once the Jiaxing Factory is completed in January 2027, it will be capable of producing up to 840 million units of Buldak Bokkeum Myeon annually. All products manufactured at the Jiaxing Factory will be supplied to the Chinese domestic market. By producing and marketing products tailored to the preferences of Chinese consumers, the company expects to better respond to the Chinese domestic market and further strengthen its localization strategy. The four domestic factories (Wonju, Iksan, Miryang 1, and Miryang 2) will serve as production bases supporting demand in rapidly growing regions such as the Americas and Europe. Upon completion of the Jiaxing Factory, the annual production capacity of Buldak Bokkeum Myeon across the five domestic and overseas factories will increase to 3.52 billion units.
Previously, Samyang Foods decided to build its first overseas factory in this region after comprehensively considering several factors: China accounts for about 25% of the company’s total export volume, the Buldak brand enjoys high recognition in China, and Jiaxing City offers excellent accessibility to Samyang Foods’ Chinese sales subsidiary, Samyang Foods Shanghai Co., Ltd.
In his commemorative speech, Samyang Foods CEO Kim Dongchan stated, "We will continue our efforts so that our products are not just 'delicious food,' but also become a medium for moments shared with family and friends, and a bridge connecting generations and regions."
