Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters Holds 2025 2nd Kori Nuclear Power Communication Committee Meeting

At the 2025 second meeting, after reporting on the current status of the headquarters, including the operational status of the power plant, major trends, local cooperation activities, the schedule for equipment improvements for continued operation of Kori Units 2 to 4, the 2026 Kori Headquarters 'KHNP Support Project' contest, the selection of scholarship recipients from areas surrounding Kori Headquarters for 2025, the contract for the new nuclear power plant project in the Czech Republic, and the commencement of Kori Unit 1 decommissioning, the committee members engaged in a free discussion. Through this, they broadened mutual understanding for coexistence and harmony with the local community.


Lee Sangwook, Director of Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters, stated, "The recent achievement of winning the new nuclear power plant project in the Czech Republic, along with the final approval of the Kori Unit 1 decommissioning plan, is a highly meaningful accomplishment." He added, "We will continue to work on resolving key issues at Kori Headquarters and strive for co-prosperity and development with the local community."


The Kori Nuclear Power Communication Committee is a meeting body composed of county council members, public officials, journalists, and local development experts, and is held four times a year to ensure continuous communication with local residents.


Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters plans to continue sharing information on power plant operations transparently and promptly with the local community through activities such as the Nuclear Power Communication Committee, and to actively participate in local events.
