A total of 603 entries containing positive messages about marriage, pregnancy, childbirth, parenting, and family were submitted to the contest, drawing attention for the wide age range of participants, from 8 to 79 years old.

The judging process consisted of three stages. The first stage was an internal review by the Birth Health Division, the second stage involved a survey of all health center staff and a review by department heads, and the third stage was an evaluation by the judging committee.

Works that demonstrated both creativity and strong messaging were selected as the final winners. The grand prize went to Park for the slogan, "Joy is in childbirth, happiness is in parenting, and the answer is in Gwangyang!" The excellence award and encouragement award were given to "Happiness reserved through marriage, future reserved through childbirth" and "A city where childbirth brings joy, Gwangyang where parenting brings happiness," respectively.

Grand prize winner Park stated, "I wanted to capture in my slogan the overwhelming joy of the moment a child is born, the idea that parenting can be felt as happiness rather than a burden, and the confidence and vision that Gwangyang City's policies can serve as both a solution and a model case for the nationwide low birth rate issue."

Park added, "As an expectant parent, I am honored to have won this contest, and I hope more citizens will develop a positive attitude toward childbirth and parenting."

The award ceremony was held on the 2nd at Gwangyang City Hall as part of the citizen commendation ceremony, where Mayor Jung Inhwa personally presented the certificates and encouraged the winners.

Hwang Youngsook, head of the Birth Health Division of Gwangyang City, said, "The fact that more than 600 entries were submitted is evidence of the high level of public interest in overcoming the low birth rate," and added, "This contest was especially meaningful because citizens themselves proposed policy messages based on their understanding and empathy for city administration."

She continued, "The winning entries will be actively used in future promotional materials, campaigns, and publications aimed at overcoming the low birth rate," and added, "We will continue working to reduce the burdens of childbirth and parenting, and to spread positive perceptions of marriage and family."
