'AI Summary' Feature for Quick Access to Key Information
Users can now receive AI-powered restaurant recommendations tailored to their preferences on KakaoMap.
On July 2, Kakao announced the introduction of 'AI Mate Local,' an AI-based location recommendation service, to KakaoMap.
AI Mate Local is a service that recommends restaurants, cafes, date courses, and various other venues tailored to each user's preferences and lifestyle, based on conversational queries about the desired conditions. In addition to personalized recommendations, the service also offers summarized venue information and real-time Q&A features, enhancing its usability.
Users can access the AI Mate Local service through the 'AI Restaurant' button located at the bottom of the KakaoMap app's search bar. By entering their requirements in a conversational manner?such as "Show me brunch spots where I can bring my dog" or "Recommend nearby date courses for the weekend"?they can receive restaurant recommendations that match criteria like location, price, menu, and parking availability. If users enter their planned visit date, the service also provides suggestions that take the weather into account.
Additionally, the service introduces an 'AI Summary' feature on the venue detail page, which appears when a specific location is selected. This feature allows users to quickly and easily access key information such as main characteristics of the venue, blog summaries, and recommended menu items. The detailed AI Summary screen also provides a 'Ask About This Place' function, enabling users to instantly check a variety of lifestyle-related information, such as "Is parking available?", "Are there high chairs for babies?", or "Is corkage service offered?". AI Mate Local is available after updating the KakaoMap app to the latest version (6.4.0 or above).
