Yeosu Rises as the Center of K-Culture Powerhouse... "2025 KMIF" Eight-Day K-Culture Festival

The "2025 Yeosu K-Mega Island Festival," a celebration where you can fully enjoy summer in Yeosu, will kick off in July.


The "2025 Yeosu K-Mega Island Festival" (KMIF) will be held for eight days from July 26 to August 2 at the Yeosu Expo site and around Sky Tower.


This festival, which brings together a wide range of K-culture that transcends genres?from K-pop, K-trot, K-jazz, and K-band to K-food?has garnered attention as world-renowned artists are set to perform.


In particular, the first weekend of the festival, Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, July 27, as well as the final weekend, Saturday, August 2, will feature a variety of artists who will mark the opening and finale of the festival.


On the opening day, Saturday, July 26, a diverse lineup of artists will deliver spectacular performances, including FT Island, EXO's Chen, 10CM, Lee Mujin, Park Changgeun, Beomjin, Jung Wooseok Band (formerly of Pentagon), Hwang Garam, VIXX's Ken, Beatpella House, and New Beat.


On Sunday, July 27, leading Korean band YB will take the stage, along with Ha Sungwoon, Paul Kim, Baekho, Band Africa, Soran, Jeokjae, Car the Garden, Lucy, and Dragon Pony, heating up Yeosu's summer night.


On the final day, Saturday, August 2, the festival will feature the vocal unit HoooW (Son Hoyoung and Kim Taewoo of the "national group" god), as well as the "all-around entertainer" Lee Seunggi, Baby V.O.X, Monni, Forestella, FIFTY FIFTY, Hearts2Hearts, and Close Your Eyes, bringing the event to a grand finale.


In addition, the sub-stages will host a variety of unique performances. These include Latin music group La Percussion, which will showcase Brazilian music, and the Latin Festa, which captures the romance and passion of Yeosu.

The "2025 Yeosu K-Mega Island Festival," which will heat up Yeosu's summer, is also attracting attention as a festival that will illuminate the beautiful night sea of Yeosu. Notably, Yeosu is home to two national parks?Hallyeohaesang and Dadohaehaesang National Parks?so festivalgoers can enjoy the event while taking in the scenic beauty of Yeosu.


This eight-day festival, set against the backdrop of Yeosu's blue sea and sunset, is expected to go beyond a simple music event to revitalize the local economy and tourism industry, serving as a turning point for Yeosu's resurgence. According to the organizing committee, leveraging the power of K-content, Yeosu aims to lead as a "K-culture powerhouse" and promote the excellence of Jeollanam-do to the world.


Meanwhile, a portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to support neighbors in need. In addition, ticket holders will receive a complimentary admission ticket to the Yeosu "Noctemare Media Art" theme park at the venue.
