Starting from 9:00 a.m. on July 2, Gyeonggi Province will sell admission tickets for national football team matches, purchased from the Korea Football Association, on a first-come, first-served basis to eligible recipients of the Opportunity Gyeonggi Admission Ticket program.
The Opportunity Gyeonggi Admission Ticket is a policy designed to enable more residents of the province to attend sports events at an affordable cost.
Senior citizens aged 70 or older and one accompanying person, as well as people with disabilities and one accompanying person, can attend games of 19 professional sports teams in football, baseball, basketball, and volleyball for 1,000 won. The tickets being sold are for the '2025 EAFF E-1 Championship National Football Team Matches' (formerly the East Asian Cup).
Six matches will be held in Gyeonggi Province. These include the Republic of Korea vs. China match at 8:00 p.m. on July 7 at Yongin Mir Stadium, the Republic of Korea vs. Japan match at 7:24 p.m. on July 15 at Yongin Mir Stadium, and the women's national team match between the Republic of Korea and Japan at 8:00 p.m. on July 13 at Hwaseong Sports Complex.
All seats are third-class and were purchased in advance by Gyeonggi Province from the Korea Football Association.
Previously, starting this year, Gyeonggi Province expanded the eligibility for the Opportunity Gyeonggi Admission Ticket to include national team matches. As a result, the tickets were offered for the '2026 FIFA North and Central America World Cup Asian Qualifiers' in March.
Residents who wish to attend can apply through the websites of the Gyeonggi Sports Council (ggsports.gg.go.kr) and the Gyeonggi Province Sports Association for the Disabled (psg.or.kr) up to three days before each match.
As of the end of May this year, 13,432 people have benefited from the Opportunity Gyeonggi Admission Ticket program.
