Strengthening Communication with Tenant Companies
and Reaffirming Joint Commitment to Eradicating Illegal Subleasing
On June 30, 2025, Busan Port Authority (BPA) held a meeting and a resolution rally to eradicate illegal subleasing for representatives of 27 tenant companies in the Busan Port New Port Hinterland.
The meeting was presided over by BPA President Song Sangkeun and attended by about 50 stakeholders, including the executive board of the New Port Hinterland Logistics Association and CEOs of tenant companies, who shared a variety of opinions to revitalize the hinterland area.
Before the meeting began, the participants held the 'Hinterland Illegal Sublease Eradication Resolution Rally' to promote fair operation and build a trust-based ecosystem within the hinterland area.
During the rally, BPA pledged to do its utmost to establish a fair and transparent order for tenant occupancy in the hinterland. The tenant companies also committed to practicing autonomous and responsible management based on mutual trust among tenants, with the goal of creating a healthy hinterland environment.
In the subsequent meeting, tenant companies raised various concerns and suggestions for institutional improvements related to the operation of the hinterland area. BPA promised to make every effort to create a better business environment by taking follow-up management measures, such as recording the discussed issues on management cards.
Song Sangkeun, President of Busan Port Authority, said, "This meeting was a meaningful opportunity to hear directly from tenant companies and to reflect voices from the field in our policies. We will continue to strengthen our efforts to enhance the competitiveness of the hinterland area through regular meetings with tenant companies."
