Lotte Department Store to Hold 'Lotte Wedding Fair' for Engaged Couples... Double Mileage Rewards Offered

Held at All Branches from July 4 to 13 with a Home Styling Theme

On July 1, Lotte Department Store announced that it will hold the 'Lotte Wedding Fair' for engaged couples at all of its branches from July 4 to July 13.

According to Statistics Korea, the number of marriages in the first quarter of this year increased by 8.4% compared to the previous year, marking the highest figure since 2019. In addition, due to the revision of the Lease Protection Act in 2020, the renewal of jeonse and monthly rental contracts has been concentrated around July, resulting in a surge in move-in demand during the summer months.


In response, Lotte Department Store plans to hold its July wedding fair under the theme of 'home styling,' offering customized benefits to engaged couples and newlyweds preparing for a new start.


This year's wedding fair will feature a total of 142 brands, a 15% increase from last year, offering additional 'wedding mileage' rewards. The wedding mileage program is a rewards system that allows members of the Lotte Wedding Members program to accumulate points for purchases made at Lotte Department Store over nine months, and then receive up to 7% of the total accumulated amount in the form of Lotte gift certificates. During the wedding fair, customers can earn up to twice the usual mileage on their purchases.


The range of participating lifestyle brands has also been significantly expanded. Premium bed brands such as 'Ace,' 'Simmons,' and 'Tempur' are taking part, as well as a variety of designer furniture and lighting brands popular among newlyweds, including 'Fritz Hansen' and 'Louis Poulsen.'


The 'Wedding Challenge' event, which offers up to 400,000 additional mileage points, is being introduced for the first time. This system provides varying mileage rewards depending on the number of brands purchased from or the number of days purchases are made during the event period. Customers who purchase from three or more brands or make purchases on three or more days will receive a one-time bonus of 50,000 mileage points, while those who purchase from five or more brands or make purchases on five or more days will receive an additional 200,000 mileage points.


There are also benefits for customers preparing gifts for engagement meetings or wedding household items. Lotte Wedding Members will receive a 15% discount coupon for fruit gift sets and a 40% discount coupon for premium Korean beef sets, both of which can be used through the official 'Lotte Wedding' website until July 31.


Park Sangwoo, Head of Sales Strategy at Lotte Department Store, stated, "Since July is the peak season for moving and new home occupancy, we have expanded the range of participating lifestyle brands in this wedding fair to give customers more choices. With the newly introduced 'Wedding Challenge' event, we have strengthened the benefits that engaged couples can actually experience, and we hope for a lot of interest and visits from those preparing for marriage."
