According to the telecommunications industry on June 27, SKT began notifying dealerships the previous day of its support plan, which involves calculating the expected number of new sales for each dealership during the suspension period and providing 150,000 won per unit as compensation.

Previously, SK Telecom had stated that it would announce compensation measures for dealerships as soon as the suspension of new sales was lifted. The company had decided to offer free USIM replacements following a cyber intrusion incident in April. To address the resulting shortage of USIM stock, SK Telecom suspended new sales through dealerships using USIMs from May 5 to June 23.

SK Telecom plans to provide additional support for dealership operating expenses, such as monthly rent and labor costs, for the affected period. The support funds will be paid at the end of next month.

Meanwhile, SK Telecom has also implemented financial and policy support measures for dealership employees whose workloads increased due to USIM replacements during the suspension period, including deferred loan repayments and extended payment deadlines for devices.
