Following its ecosystem restoration activities earlier this year in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province; Jeongeup, North Jeolla Province; and Ulsan Metropolitan City, SKC recently conducted sapling planting and environmental cleanup activities near its newly relocated headquarters in the Namsan area of Chungmuro.

On June 27, SKC announced that it held its 'My Green Nature' activity at Namsan in Seoul to promote biodiversity conservation. The event was attended by SKC board chair Chae Eunmi and other members. This initiative focused on planting native species to enhance biodiversity in the urban forest and to strengthen its ecological functions.

Participants removed existing non-native plants from Namsan Children's Forest and planted native species such as bellflowers and Hosta Golden Tiara, which contribute to biodiversity conservation. Through the hands-on process of planting and nurturing saplings, participants experienced the importance of ecosystem restoration and took time to reflect on the value of nature within the urban environment.

SKC has continued its 'My Green Nature' activities at major business sites across the country. Over the past three months, the company has carried out water purification and non-native species removal activities at Tancheon in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province; Naejangsan in Jeongeup, North Jeolla Province; and Seonbawi Park in Ulsan.

Meanwhile, on May 26, SKC relocated its headquarters from the Gwanghwamun office building to SK-C Tower in Chungmuro, Jung-gu, Seoul. SKC plans to use this relocation as an opportunity to accelerate its growth as a global materials solutions company.

An SKC representative stated, "This activity was a meaningful occasion to conduct biodiversity conservation efforts at Namsan, a representative green space and ecological hub in the city, in connection with our headquarters relocation. SKC will continue its efforts to create a sustainable future in harmony with nature."
