Job and Labor Law Counseling Available at Sillim and Bongcheon Stations
Gwanak District in Seoul is operating a “Mobile Employment and Labor Counseling Office” in easily accessible subway station spaces, allowing all residents to conveniently address their career concerns.
This counseling office brings professional staff, such as career counselors and certified labor attorneys, directly into the daily lives of residents who may have difficulty accessing related services due to constraints such as time or distance. The counseling office is set up as a “temporary counseling booth” in Sillim Station and Bongcheon Station, both of which are easy to access.
A resident visiting the on-site Employment and Labor Counseling Office at Sillim Station is receiving job consultation from a career counselor. Provided by Gwanak District.
Residents can receive free one-on-one, in-person counseling for job-seeking and recruitment consultations and referrals, job information, and labor law consultations, as well as support for resolving violations of labor rights.
Job information and career counseling are provided by the Gwanak District Job Center (02-879-5773~5), while consultations on labor issues such as wage arrears and unfair dismissal are available at the Gwanak District Labor Welfare Center (02-886-7900).
The counseling office will be open every Wednesday and Thursday until November 2025. Career counseling is available from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and labor counseling from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. On Wednesdays, the office operates near exits 1 and 8 of Sillim Station; on Thursdays, near exits 5 and 6 of Bongcheon Station. Only career counseling is available at Bongcheon Station. During the heatwave period (July 23 to August 14), all counseling offices will be closed.
Last year, the district operated the Mobile Employment and Labor Counseling Office 40 times, providing a total of 336 counseling services, including career counseling, recruitment consultations, and job seeker registration.
Park Junhee, Mayor of Gwanak District, stated, “Due to the prolonged economic downturn, job searching has become more difficult, and the demand for labor law consultations is rapidly increasing as various forms of employment expand. Through sustainable job creation by launching the Job Happiness Corporation in July and by operating rest areas for mobile workers, we will do our utmost to stabilize residents’ lives and improve the labor environment by protecting workers’ rights.”
