On June 26 (local time), KIC announced on the 27th that its New York office hosted the 22nd 'New York Korean Finance Forum' at the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in New York. The event was attended by the Deputy Consul General (Economic Officer) of the Consulate General, representatives from public investment institutions, and about 20 investment professionals from securities firms, banks, and insurance companies.
Andrew Jacobson, CEO of Axiom Investors, who gave a presentation at the event, identified "4D" as the key theme for growth stock investment. The 4D framework consists of: demographic changes due to declining birth rates (Demographics); relative leverage conditions (Debt); deglobalization (Deglobalization); and technological innovation (Disruption). Jacobson added, "Considering the potential of growth stock investment, the market is still in its early stages, and there are many investment opportunities." He also emphasized that, in order to identify promising investment opportunities amid global structural changes, it is important to maintain a consistent, fundamentals-based investment process, as well as thorough company analysis and stock selection.
Axiom Investors is an independent asset management firm based in the United States, managing $25 billion in assets. The company specializes in providing equity investment strategies focused on growth stocks to global institutional investors.
Lee Kyungtaek, Head of KIC's New York office and organizer of the New York Korean Finance Forum, said, "Given the current global financial market environment, this was a valuable opportunity to discuss both the opportunities and risk factors of growth stock investment in depth." He added, "We will continue to provide meaningful opportunities to help domestic institutional investors develop effective overseas investment strategies."
KIC operates overseas offices and branches in major global financial centers, including New York and San Francisco in the United States, London in the United Kingdom, Singapore, and Mumbai in India. Each overseas base strives to share investment information and build cooperative networks with domestic public and private financial institutions operating locally.
