A Total of 29 Individuals, Including 22 Veterans' Families and External Contributors, Receive Commendations
The Daegu Regional Veterans Office of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, led by Director Kim Jongsul, held the "Model National Veterans Award Presentation Ceremony" at the Daegu Regional Government Complex on June 26 to mark Patriots and Veterans Month. During the event, the office expressed gratitude and respect to national merit recipients and individuals who have contributed to the promotion of veterans' culture.

At the ceremony, 14 model national veterans, including Oh Jongbae, a wounded veteran, received commendations from the Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs and various other ministers. In addition, eight individuals, including Jang Byunghwan, a descendant of an independence patriot, received commendations from the Director of the Daegu Regional Veterans Office.
The "Darakbang Volunteer Group" and "DaeguTech LLC," both of which have contributed to the welfare and honor of national veterans, were awarded plaques of appreciation from the Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs. In addition, five external individuals, including Park Jongseok from Chilgok County Office and Shin Yoonju from iMBank, received ministerial commendations for their contributions to spreading veterans' culture.
Kim Jongsul, Director of the Daegu Regional Veterans Office, stated, "I extend my deepest gratitude and respect to the merit recipients and their families who have dedicated themselves to the nation," adding, "We will continue our efforts to ensure that veterans' culture is not limited to a specific period but is naturally integrated into the daily lives of all citizens."
